HER DESIGNS

Her Designs was born in 2017 when Lydia was sat peeing in a service station. Seriously. The poster on the back of the toilet cubical door showed a charity, raising awareness of less fortunate and homeless women and girls, and their experience of having their monthly period with no access to the range of sanitary products that we take so much for granted. She felt so ignorant having never thought about this before. It was right there and then whilst peeing and reading, and feeling sad and self absorbed that she knew she wanted to help raise money for this charity or one similar.

So not only does 10% of all sales of our tampon bullet keychains and our sanitary bags go to a charity which donates sanitary products to homeless women, we hope that they also help to normalise the taboo of talking about menstruation.

Since 2017 our ideas and products have grown and grown. We have always loved breaking down taboos and normalising whispered topics and hidden flesh and we're aiming to continue doing so until we get everyone talking!

For us, our tampon bullets represent the strength of women and our amazing bodies. We as women know how fragile periods can make us feel but these little tampon bullets are little reminders of the wonder of our incredible, strong and deliberate bodies.
